The girl who doesn't age.
To begin, I suggest watching the video on top of reading the article. It helps you et a better feel of what they are taking about in the article.
I found this to be a very interesting story due to the fact that if they are able to somehow "break" or sequence this girl's DNA, than we could potentially reverse or even stop the aging process! Even the girls doctors admitt that they have no idea how long she could be alive.
What is really amazing is that despite all of the ailments that she has had, she has pulled through every single one with very minimal effects. These have often been ailments that very well could have killed a normal person. Granted she does have mental and physical issues, when you compare what she does have to what she could have as a result of the illnesses she has been through, they do not compare.
There has been alt of discussion regarding immortality/longer life on xanga lately. I am curious, now that we may have found the key to these, what are your thoughts? If there was some sort of way to never age or slow down your own aging process would you take it? Would the idea that you might have to face potentially life altering, though not life ending, illness deter you from it?
Despite the illnesses I would potentially have to deal with, I think I would take it. The whole prospect of living longer than what I would have originally seems very intriguing. Imagine all of the things that you would be able to acomplish that you otherwise wouldn't in a normal life span! I am definetly for it.
Let me know what you think about the story, immortality/longer life, anything. I am curious to hear others opinions on this.

What an incredible story; thanks for sharing that!
@lonelywanderer2 - No problem. Thanks for the rec. :)
Your link at the top of the article appears to redirect back to this page, and not to any video.
@QuantumStorm - I will work on that. :)
@QuantumStorm - Video is up.
I don't think I would want to stop the age process. I would like to reach 80 and have wrinkly skin for some reason.
That's crazy! But I think trying to tap into the "ageless" gene is a can of worms that's best not disturbed.
Absolutely fascinating.
